Term 1 Week 10 - Whole class focus and rewards

This week, Room 7 has been talking about some areas that we need to work on. We have made it into a whole class reward system where we get a point as a whole class when we are able to achieve each focus. We came up with the focus ourselves as well as the rewards! We are trying our best to work as a team and we are looking very forward to achieving these so we can get the rewards! 

Term 1 Week 9 - Enviro Scholars!

Room 7 has been learning about different bins around the school - waste, paper, worm and compost. We discussed which rubbish goes where and had fun doing an activity of sorting rubbish. 

First, we had a go at guessing which rubbish will go where. 

Then, we worked as a class to discuss further on why we put certain things in the certain bin, and discussed about if it needs to be in a different bin. Then we came out with the result shown below: 

We are a proud class of enviro scholars! We are ready to go home and let our family know how we can use the bins correctly to look after our environment! :) 

Term 1 Week 8 - Swimming!

Room 7 has been going swimming this term. We are learning to float on our belly and back using the pool noodles. We even challenged ourselves by trying to kick in the water to move ourselves forward! 

Term 1 Week 7 - Onomatopoeias in writing!

 This week Room 7 learned about onomatopoeias for writing. We explored different onomatopoeias, where they are used and how. We decided to make our own comic strip and include some of the fun onomatopoeias! Have a look at some of our works:
